License To Carry Classes

License to Carry (LTC) Course

This course provides the required classroom training and firearm qualification needed to obtain the Texas License to Carry certification. It is a five- to six-hour course, featuring four hours classroom, plus range time, as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Public courses are taught at our location and private courses are available. Public courses are $90.00, including range fee. Private courses can be taught at your location and require a minimum of four students. The fee for these off-site courses is $95.00 plus range fee. If your location has a safe place to shoot, we can use that for the shooting qualification. Individual classes can be arranged for a minimum of $270.00.

Prerequisites

Basic Proficiency with a Handgun

Students who have no prior handgun shooting experience or who don’t think they can pass the LTC shooting test without coaching should not take our LTC course. In order to provide a one-day LTC course, we have a limited amount of time allotted for the shooting test. We offer a Basic Handgun Class for students who need help to prepare for the LTC course shooting test.

  • At least 50 rounds of new factory ammunition of the appropriate caliber for your handgun
